ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Join a world-class technology consultancy as an experienced Cloud Engineer, working as part of agile project teams on all infrastructure pieces of modern systems. From writing code to provision infrastructure to driving root cause analysis, you'll have fun learning and building things while guiding teams on DevOps methodologies and best practices. This role offers direct contact with C-level executives from client side, requiring strong English communication skills and technical leadership in cloud infrastructure management.
PROJECT & CONTEXT
You'll manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure at scale, provisioning resources, configuring networks, ensuring security, optimizing costs, implementing disaster recovery, and automating infrastructure management. The role involves setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitLab, and Jenkins, while working with containers and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes and Docker using Helm Charts. You'll implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt, establish comprehensive monitoring with Grafana, Kibana, DataDog, or CloudWatch, and manage Databricks infrastructure including workspace administration and cluster policies. The position requires creating and developing CDN solutions using CloudFront and Akamai, deep understanding of networking protocols, and expertise in observability including metrics, logs, and distributed tracing. You'll troubleshoot complex Linux/Unix systems, maintain production applications, and work autonomously with minimal supervision. National and international travel varies by project (0-15% estimated).
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)
- AWS cloud infrastructure expertise: Strong experience managing AWS environments including provisioning, networking, security, cost optimization, and disaster recovery
- CI/CD implementation: Experience setting up continuous integration and deployment pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitLab, and/or Jenkins
- Container orchestration: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker, preferably using Helm Charts for deployment management
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with IaC tools, preferably Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure automation
- Monitoring and observability: Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana, DataDog, CloudWatch) and understanding of metrics, logs, and distributed tracing
- Databricks infrastructure: Experience managing Databricks at scale including workspace administration and cluster policies
- CDN development: Experience creating and developing CDN solutions using CloudFront and/or Akamai
- Networking knowledge: Solid understanding of networking protocols and AWS networking architecture
- Linux/Unix proficiency: Strong troubleshooting skills for roaming Linux/Unix systems and pinpointing root causes
- Automation scripting: Experience with Bash, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript for automation tasks
- Configuration management: Familiarity with frameworks like Ansible
- DevOps methodologies: Comfortable with DevOps best practices and production environment maintenance
- Self-driven mindset: Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision towards team goals
- Language requirement: Very comfortable with English (mandatory for C-level client communication)
