What We Are Looking For

AVL is seeking a CFO with a strong background in investor/venture companies.

Our CFOs focusing on industries and knowledge relating to SaaS & Software, Tech, Consumer Packaged Goods, ecommerce -, general services, and similar knowledge. 

Our CFOs serve clients with Strategic, financial, and operational expertise to help them clearly understand their current state of business.  You must be able to translate “the numbers” into actionable information and insights. 

Our CFO’s aren’t merely oversight. We work with passionate entrepreneurs and growing businesses that are looking for someone to dig in. The AVL team makes a direct impact by being hands on and involved in every financial process in order to accomplish goals and generate success. This person will be expected to do the same while working on small teams to generate big results.

Necessary experience and duties you would be expected to perform:

• Build financial models
• Assist clients with strategic planning and growth
• Build a robust and scalable accounting operations system alongside our accountants and controllers that produces accurate and timely financials with auditable internal controls
• Must understand detailed accounting principles and processes 
• Provide forward looking forecasting and financial analysis
• Manage Board of Directors meetings and executive reporting
• Lead and guide clients through the action of raising capital, including developing and presenting investor decks
• Provide / Lead other strategic advice (M&A, licensing, equity, etc.)
• Minimum of 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles

Very beneficial to also have experience in the following areas:

• Prior CFO experience with at least two companies 
• Prior CFO experience with at least 2 industry areas
• Demonstrated experience working with investor/venture companies or start-ups
• Strong Accounting background, CPA (Active or Inactive) a plus
• Experience in partnering with executive teams, with superb written and oral communication skills
• Prior work and understanding of consulting businesses is a plus
• Experience working with multiple P&Ls
• Experience leading and developing teams

Compensation

Compensation for this position is based on experience and technical proficiency. 

AVL offers optionality with the number of hours worked weekly (Looking for desired hours between 25-35 hours/week)

The hourly base pay rate is between $120.00-$140.00 per hour - $249,600 - $291,000 (based on 40hr/wk) with the eligibility for an annual bonus incentive in addition to base pay.
