SQL Specialist | Philippines

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled SQL Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL codes. This role requires strong analytical skills, understanding of cloud-based databases, also the ability to translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL code, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data for reporting  and business intelligence purposes.
• Optimize  SQL codes, query tuning, and other best practices.
• Ensure  data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational and  regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data  requirements and deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot  and resolve code-related issues in a timely manner.
• Document  database structures, processes, and procedures for future reference.
• Stay updated with emerging database technologies and industry best practices.

• Bachelor’s  degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven  experience as an SQL Specialist, Database Developer, or similar role.
• Strong  proficiency in SQL and relational and data-warehouse database management  systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric warehouse, MySQL,  PostgreSQL).
• Experience  with SQL performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration tools.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and reporting tools is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Azure Fabric  warehouse, Google Cloud SQL).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Experience  with version control systems (e.g., Git).
