Roles & Responsibilities

  • Board-certified physician (MD or DO) from a US-accredited medical school
  • Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
  • Active, non-restrictive medical licensure in multiple states (5-7 licenses), prioritizing CA, TX, FL, AR; other states include IL, AL, NY, IN, LA, MS, SC, PA
  • Minimum of two years of practicing physician experience; able to work at least 20 hours per week; experience with medical weight loss and prescribing compounded GLP-1s; experience with low-acuity mental health and urgent care

Requirements:

  • Obtains histories, conducts virtual exams, documents findings, evaluates and diagnoses medical and behavioral health conditions, and develops treatment and care plans with team support.
  • Delivers patient care in high-priority care targeting a range of common chronic conditions.
  • Demonstrates flexibility by adapting to evolving processes and practice in an ambiguous environment.
  • Communicates effectively with other providers, including comprehensive charting and messaging; provides feedback to improve quality of care and operational processes.

This is a remote position.

OpenLoop is always seeking telemedicine physicians to provide synchronous and asynchronous virtual patient care. We provide care ranging from tele-urgent care, medical weight loss, primary care, and specialty services.

About the Position

This is an incredible work opportunity in a fast-paced, innovative company that puts the patient first. We hire clinical care professionals who deliver medical care using telemedicine modalities including video, phone, connected devices, and asynchronous messages (chat/email).

Physicians are members of an interdisciplinary care team working as staff clinicians with OpenLoop. They work independently and are responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making within the industry and locally established standards of care, clinical practice guidelines, and organization policies and procedures. The scope of medical decision-making focuses on common conditions that would present within an episodic, acute, or primary care medical practice. Responsibilities
  • Obtains histories, conducts virtual exams, documents findings, evaluates and diagnoses medical and behavioral health conditions, recommends treatment plans, constructs care plans, enlists support from other team members and promotes peace of mind by investing in patient confidence
  • Delivers patient care in high-priority care targeting a range of common chronic conditions
  • Demonstrates flexibility by adapting as needed to change processes and practice in an evolving, ambiguous environment
  • Communicates effectively with other providers, including using comprehensive charting and messaging
  • Delivers patient care that balances the best that medical science has to offer, patient preferences and values, and invests in patients' future confidence and skills
  • Provide feedback about opportunities to improve the quality of care and operational processes

Requirements

  • Board-certified physician (MD or DO) from a US-accredited medical school
  • Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
  • Must possess active, non-restrictive medical licensure in multiple states
  • MINIMUM of 5-7 Active State Licenses from the Following:
    • TOP PRIORITY: CA, TX, FL, AR. IL
    • OTHER: AL, NY, IN, LA, MS, SC, PA
  • A minimum of TWO years experience as a practicing physician required
  • Provider must work 20 hrs per week minimum
  • Have experience with medical weight loss and prescribing compounded GLP-1s
  • Have experience with low acuity mental health and urgent care
  • MUST have a current DEA
  • Must have no history of malpractice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding clinical expertise, evidence-based practice
  • Competent in providing patient education at every visit
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Above-average comfort with technology and assisting patients with troubleshooting technical difficulties that may occur in the home environment
  • Timely and professional
  • Telemedicine or virtual care experience a plus
  • Fluency in Spanish (both written and spoken) is a plus

Medical Weight Loss
- $30/Synchronous visit
$8/Asynchronous visit M-F, $9/Asynchronous visit Sat-Sun
- $15/Patient no-show

Tele-urgent Care

- $30/Synchronous visit (7-15 minutes)
- $40/Synchronous visit (behavioral health consult 20 minutes)
- $4/Asynchronous visit
- $15/Patient no-show


Other Info
  • This is a 1099, contract position

  • 20 to 40 hours, full-time preferred

  • Some weekend work required


Physician will have the opportunity to earn up to $375,000 a year
