Roles & Responsibilities

  • 5 years of documented experience in the fire sprinkler industry performing service and repair to sprinkler and suppression systems
  • MN Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter License (and any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes)
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company requirements
  • Ability to perform physical labor (up to 70 lbs) and work in challenging environments (climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment up to 60 feet, ducts and crawl spaces)

Requirements:

  • Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, contact customer representatives, and ascertain equipment/system problems
  • Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial applications, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge and fire pumps
  • Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and reference technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics and operating product manuals

What you will do  
 
Receive service calls from Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions. Contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems. Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial applications. These include but are not limited to wet (steel, copper and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge and fire pumps.  

**This is a remote role. Candidates must be based in Minnesota but may reside anywhere within the state. **

How you will do it  

  • Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. in order to diagnose and repair equipment. 

  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals. 

  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly. 

  • Must have the ability to work alone. 

What we look for 

Required 

  • 5 years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler industry performing service and repair to Sprinkler and Suppression systems 
  • Retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes. 
  • Must maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs 
  • Must adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times 
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements 
  • Follow verbal and written instructions 
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs. 
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. 
  • Must be able to follow, read and understand all safety requirement of the company and the customer 
  • MN Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter License

Preferred:

  • Backflow Tester License
  • NICET Certification, within the first year of hire

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $37.00 - 50.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
