Motorola Solutions is a world leader in the field of professional mobile communications systems with an impressive heritage of technological innovations and a global base of installed systems. This Department is responsible for selling Motorola Solutions public safety solutions to city, county and state agencies in the United States. This is a long-cycle sales position in a highly competitive marketplace.


Job Description

The Executive Account Manager will proactively develop large project opportunities encompassing a wide range of products and services (core and emerging technologies) with particular focus on next generation technology.

The Executive Account Manager will be a part of the Strategic Project Team and responsible for the following:

  • Develop strong, trusted advisor relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within and outside of public safety: Mayor, CIO, and other elected officials in order to understand and influence funding

  • Interact with senior customer level and consultants/lobbyists; work independently under limited direction

  • Maintain target customer intelligence data in Motorola Solutions CRM system; provide timely & accurate sales forecast

  • Drive strategies with government customers for Motorola Solutions success in the bid environment

  • Network with key Motorola Solution’s work partners including presales engineers, area services team, marketing, product management, sales operations, and order/credit management to ensure your territory objectives are met

  • Leverage territory promotions and incentives to drive current quarter revenue targets

  • Be aware of competition and technology disruptors that may impact your territory and partner community

  • Understand Motorola Solutions contract terms & compliance requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 4+ years of documented track record of sales performance within a technology environment

  • Effective and proven negotiation skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with C-Level executives

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Highly effective communication skills (oral, written, & presentation)

  • Ability to drive strategies with government customers for Motorola success in the bid environment

  • Understanding of public safety domain, Motorola Solutions portfolio, competitive landscape, customer procurement processes, and has dealt effectively with political decision-making landscapes

  • Ability to quickly learn Salesforce as the project reporting tool and forecast method

  • Remote-based position and must be willing to travel 60%+ throughout the Southeast

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 4+ years of documented track record of sales performance within a technology environment

  • Ability to negotiate large contracts and interact with C-level executives

  • Drive and accelerate deals and their timelines

  • Manage lobbyists, their budgets, and strategic giving plans

Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
