VIAVI Solutions is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a fast-paced technology environment, contributing to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge solutions for network and service enablement.
Duties & Responsibilities:

- Assist senior engineers in the design, development, and testing of hardware and/or software components for Viavi products.
- Conduct research and gather technical information to support ongoing projects and new product initiatives.
- Participate in debugging and troubleshooting efforts, identifying root causes of issues and proposing solutions.
- Contribute to documentation efforts, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Perform data analysis and generate reports to support engineering decisions and project progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and manufacturing.
- Learn and apply industry best practices, tools, and methodologies in engineering.
- Present findings and project updates to mentors and team members.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Solid foundational understanding of engineering principles relevant to their field of study (e.g., circuit design, programming languages, data structures, networking concepts).
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., C++, Python, Java) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Prior project experience (academic or extracurricular) demonstrating engineering aptitude is a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
