Roles & Responsibilities

  • Jira Software Cloud and Server/DC administration: workflows, boards, permission/notification/screen schemes, and JQL
  • Jira Service Management experience: queues, SLAs, and request types (preferred)
  • Atlassian stack expertise: Confluence, Bitbucket, and integration with IdP/LDAP (SSO, groups)
  • Scripting and integration: Groovy (ScriptRunner) and Python for utilities/migrations, Jira REST API usage, and basic SRE concepts (SLI/SLO/SLA) with Linux/DB familiarity

Requirements:

  • Administration of Jira Cloud/Server/Confluence: manage project schemes, workflows, screens, permission/notification schemes; manage users, groups, roles; integrate with directories (AD/IdP) and monitor/optimize structure
  • Jira performance and reliability: configure monitoring (uptime, latency, error frequency, database latency); analyze bottlenecks with Atlassian reports; plan and conduct performance tuning
  • Automation and integration: implement automation rules (Jira Automation, ScriptRunner); develop Groovy/Python scripts for bulk operations, migrations, and housekeeping; integrate via REST API with CI/CD and internal systems
  • Change management and internal consulting: design Jira configuration standards; plan and execute Jira/plugin upgrades; gather requirements and design Jira solutions; troubleshoot complex incidents

We are looking for a Jira Administrator/ Developer.

Your main tasks will be:

    • 1. Administration of Jira Cloud + Server + Confluence
      • Management of project schemes, workflows, screens, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
      • Management of users, groups, roles, integration with directories (AD/IdP).
      • Monitoring and optimising structure: projects, user fields, workflows, permissions.
    • 2. Jira performance and reliability
      • Configuring and supporting Jira instance monitoring: uptime, latency, error frequency, database latency, etc. 
      • Working with Atlassian performance reports, analysing bottlenecks (database, index, user fields, plugins). 
      • Planning and conducting regular performance reviews and tuning.
    • 3. Automation and integration
      • Automation rules (Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, etc.).
      • Writing scripts in Groovy/Python for bulk operations, migrations, and housekeeping.
      • Integrations via REST API (CI/CD, monitoring, other internal systems).
    • 4. Change management and standards
      • Design and implementation of Jira configuration standards (limits on user fields, rules for workflows, etc.).
      • Planning and implementation of Jira/plugin upgrades.
    • 5. Team support and internal consulting
      • Gathering requirements and designing solutions in Jira for team processes.
      • Troubleshooting complex incidents and non-standard scenarios.

    We expect from you:

    • Jira Software Cloud + Server/DC: workflows, boards, permission/notification/screen schemes, JQL
    • Jira Service Management: queues, SLAs, request types (preferable)
    • Atlassian stack: Confluence, Bitbucket, integration with IdP/LDAP (SSO, groups)
    • Scripting/code:
      - Groovy (ScriptRunner: post-functions, listeners, scheduled jobs)
      - Python (utilities, migrations, bulk operations, integrations)
      - Jira/Atlassian REST API (auth, pagination, rate limits)
      - Performance/SRE: understanding SLI/SLO/SLA, latency, error rate, working with logs and metrics
      - Infrastructure: Linux, databases for Jira (PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL Server), basic HA/DC
      - Integrations: CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket), webhooks, event-driven integrations
