Roles & Responsibilities

  • Deep Tekion expertise including architecture, configuration, workflows, and integrations with other dealership systems
  • Proven ability to advise dealerships on Tekion features to improve fixed ops efficiency, revenue capture, process consistency, reporting visibility, and operational scalability
  • Experience building and leading a Tekion consulting practice, including defining services, engagement models, client-facing materials, and supporting sales as a Tekion authority
  • Strong strategic advisory skills for Tekion migrations and system integrations, coordinating with Tekion contacts, dealership leadership, and internal or outsourced IT teams

Requirements:

  • Serve as Helion’s Tekion SME on architecture, configuration, and workflows; advise dealerships on leveraging Tekion features to boost efficiency and profitability
  • Consult with dealership leadership across service, parts, accounting, and sales to design workflows, align processes, and translate business goals into Tekion configurations
  • Define and grow Helion’s Tekion consulting practice; develop service frameworks, engagement models, best-practice documentation, client materials; support sales as Tekion authority
  • Provide strategic advisory on Tekion transitions and migrations; coordinate with Tekion contacts, dealership department leaders, and IT teams to ensure stakeholders understand integration impacts and responsibilities

Position Overview and Qualifications:

Helion Technologies is the leading automotive IT managed service provider and the largest of its kind in the MSP space. We partner with dealerships nationwide to modernize, protect, and optimize their technology environments. As a fully remote, work-from-home company, we combine deep automotive expertise with modern IT execution.

Helion is seeking a Senior Tekion Consultant to serve as our internal and external subject matter expert on all things Tekion.

This is not a generic DMS advisory role. We are looking for someone deeply embedded in the Tekion ecosystem — someone who understands how the platform is configured, how it supports dealership workflows, how it integrates with other systems, and most importantly, how it can be leveraged to drive profitability and operational efficiency across the dealership.

In addition to consulting with clients, this individual will be responsible for standing up and shaping Helion’s Tekion consulting practice — defining service offerings, establishing best practices, and positioning Helion as the go-to Tekion advisory partner.

What You’ll Do

Tekion Subject Matter Expertise

  • Serve as Helion’s lead expert on Tekion architecture, configuration, and workflows.
  • Advise dealerships on how to best leverage Tekion’s features and functionality.
  • Identify opportunities within Tekion to increase:
    • Fixed ops efficiency
    • Revenue capture
    • Process consistency
    • Reporting visibility
    • Operational scalability

Dealership Business Optimization

  • Consult with dealership leadership (Dealer Principals, GMs, Fixed Ops Directors, Controllers) on maximizing Tekion’s impact across:
    • Service
    • Parts
    • Accounting
    • Sales
  • Provide guidance on workflow design, process alignment, and performance improvement.
  • Translate dealership business goals into effective Tekion configuration and usage strategies.

Practice Development

  • Help define and build Helion’s Tekion consulting practice.
  • Develop service frameworks, engagement models, and advisory offerings.
  • Create best-practice documentation and client-facing materials.
  • Support sales conversations as the Tekion subject matter authority.
  • Identify opportunities for recurring advisory services.

Strategic Advisory (Not Hands-On Conversions)

  • Understand what Tekion transitions look like from a systems integration and operational standpoint.
  • Advise clients during migration periods without being responsible for executing the DMS conversion itself.
  • Coordinate with:
    • Tekion contacts
    • Dealership department leaders
    • Internal or outsourced IT teams (including Helion PMs)
  • Ensure clients understand integration impacts, workflow shifts, and stakeholder responsibilities.
