Position: AS/400 Consultant
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $57/hr on C2C
Technology
Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience as a AS400 technical team lead with below:
•Advanced Level hands-on exposure in IBM-i platform
•Advanced Level hands-on exposure in Report Program Generator (RPG-LE,RPG-SQL, RPG-FREE)
•Proficient in DB2,
•Proficient in IBM-I SQL to write queries, extract data, create and debug complex stored procedures/issues and be able to respond to ad-hoc
data requests & queries
•Proficient in data transfer (to and from) between Excel and IBM-i
•Have knowledge on – XML, JSON,
•Good to have exposure in tools like Service Now and JIRA
•Nice to have Web Services/SFTP/FTP experience
•Nice to have IBM-i X-Analysis, Presto, Legasuite, PHP experience.
•Background on JDA MMS software is a plus
Onsite offshore coordination is needed so submit only those who are comfortable in doing it
Process/Operations
Minimum of 3 to 4 years' experience with below:
•Experience in working with global delivery model (Onsite-Offshore).
•Experience in Retail Environment/Domain preferred
•Oversaw and ensured communications with clients regularly regarding progress, challenges, timelines, and end results of client projects
•Lead Creation and updates of design and functional documents
•Lead and performed code review sessions with other developers and suggested improvements or alternate approaches when appropriate
•Worked closely with project managers and account managers to ensure that client expectations are met and that the team adheres to
project schedules and budgets
•Open to providing On-Call support People
•Strong communication skills
