Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in networking, security engineering, or TAC/advanced support roles.
  • Strong core technical skills including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, routing concepts and traffic flows; enterprise networking and security architectures; Linux-based troubleshooting; identity systems (Azure AD, ADFS, Active Directory, LDAP, SAML); NGFWs/proxies and secure access controls; and multi-cloud/DC-DR exposure.

Requirements:

  • Troubleshoot complex networking, security, and identity issues in customer production environments; perform deep diagnostics across application access, network paths, authentication flows, and security controls.
  • Replicate customer issues in lab environments and validate fixes with engineering; support field deployments, upgrades, and critical customer incidents.
  • Troubleshoot Linux networking issues using hands-on tools (tcpdump, packet analysers, netstat, logs); handle escalated cases end-to-end, including customer communication and closure.
  • Document root causes, fixes, and troubleshooting runbooks for internal use.

Role Overview

The Senior Networking & Security Field Technical Engineer is a senior individual-contributor role responsible for deep technical troubleshooting, customer environment analysis, and resolution of complex networking, identity, and security issues in production environments.

This role sits at the intersection of customer deployments, field engineering, and advanced technical support, and works closely with Product Engineering, Customer Success, and Solution Architecture teams. The engineer will handle escalated issues, replicate customer problems in lab environments, and contribute to continuous product reliability and operational excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in networking, security engineering, or TAC / advanced support roles.

Core Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, routing concepts, and traffic flows.

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise networking and security architectures.

  • Practical troubleshooting experience with Linux-based systems and networking.

  • Experience with identity systems: Azure AD, ADFS, Active Directory, LDAP, SAML.

  • Working knowledge of NGFWs, proxies, and secure access controls.

  • Exposure to DC/DR architectures and multi-cloud environments.

Preferred / Good-to-Have

  • Prior experience in field engineering or TAC environments.

  • Exposure to Zero Trust or application access platforms.

  • Scripting or automation for diagnostics (bash, Python).
