Principal Solution Architect

Superlanet is seeking a Principal Solution Architect for our healthcare client in Texas. This is a direct hire, remote opportunity supporting a large-scale digital and infrastructure transformation.

The Principal Solution Architect serves as a strategic technology leader within the Office of Information Technology. Reporting to the CIO, this role shapes the enterprise architecture roadmap and ensures alignment across clinical, research, education, and digital initiatives.

This individual will translate complex business and healthcare needs into scalable, secure, and future-ready technology solutions while establishing architecture standards and governance frameworks that support long-term growth across the broader health ecosystem.

Position Summary

The Principal Solution Architect is responsible for:

• Defining and maintaining the enterprise architecture roadmap
  

• Establishing architecture standards, governance models, and design frameworks
  

• Driving digital transformation initiatives across multiple domains
  

• Aligning business strategy with scalable technical solutions
  

• Providing architectural oversight for large-scale modernization efforts
  

• Influencing executive stakeholders and cross-functional leadership
  

This role plays a critical part in ensuring enterprise-wide technology alignment across clinical, research, education, and administrative platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve enterprise and solution architecture strategies
  

• Translate business objectives into scalable technical blueprints
  

• Establish architecture review boards, governance processes, and standards
  

• Lead solution design across cloud, infrastructure, application, and integration layers
  

• Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure-by-design architecture
  

• Provide executive-level communication and technical storytelling
  

• Guide vendor strategy, platform selection, and integration roadmaps
  

• Support large transformation initiatives and modernization programs
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  

• 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise or solution architecture
  

• Experience operating in complex, regulated environments (healthcare preferred)
  

• Demonstrated leadership in architecture roadmap development and governance frameworks
  

• Strong background in digital transformation and cloud platforms
  

• Experience designing cross-domain integrations (clinical, research, education, or administrative systems)
  

• Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence executive stakeholders
  

• Broad knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and vendor management
  

Preferred:

• TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification
  

• Experience within healthcare or academic medical environments
