Freelance Legal Consultant

This is a remote position.

This is a project-based freelance position in Bangalore.

Compulsory Requirement: Minimum 3 Years Experience as a practicing lawyer with valid Bar Council registration

Payment Structure:

Project-based payments - Lawyer gets paid only when FyerX secures a client project or requires legal services. Payment varies based on project scope, legal complexity, documentation requirements, and client budget. Competitive rates aligned with industry standards.

Work Arrangement:

Remote/Hybrid (Work from home with occasional client meetings in Bangalore)

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate client contracts, vendor agreements, service agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents to protect FyerX's interests and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  

• Provide legal consultation on business development matters, client onboarding, intellectual property rights, copyright issues, trademark protection, and content licensing for marketing campaigns.
  

• Advise on regulatory compliance, data protection laws, consumer protection regulations, advertising standards, and employment laws relevant to marketing agency operations.
  

• Handle dispute resolution, contract breaches, payment recovery, and client-vendor conflicts; represent FyerX in negotiations, mediations, or legal proceedings when necessary.
  

• Review marketing materials, campaign content, and client deliverables to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks related to defamation, intellectual property infringement, or regulatory violations.
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of legal practice experience with valid Bar Council of India registration; specialization in corporate law, contract law, or commercial law preferred.
  

• Strong expertise in contract drafting, legal writing, and document review; ability to create clear, enforceable agreements tailored to business needs and industry requirements.
  

• Knowledge of intellectual property law, digital marketing regulations, data protection laws (including IT Act), consumer protection, and employment law relevant to agency operations.
  

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify legal risks, provide practical solutions, and advise on complex legal matters in business-friendly language.
  

• Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to work collaboratively with business teams, clients, and external parties to resolve legal matters efficiently and professionally.
