Job description

This is a remote position.

A AMOS Data Setup and Migration Specialist to assist our data migration project and ensure the successful configuration of the AMOS (Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering System) platform. This role involves meticulous planning, data mapping, and executing data migration strategies to ensure seamless data Integration into AMOS while maintaining data integrity and compliance with aviation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse existing data structures and determine the necessary mapping for migration to the M&E system.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure all critical data is accurately captured.
- Develop a comprehensive data migration strategy, including timelines, milestones, and risk assessments.
- Identify and implement best practices for data cleansing, transformation, and validation.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to migrate data into the M&E system.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of migrated data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Configure the M&E system to accommodate migrated data and align with operational needs.
- Ensure that all system configurations are documented and comply with regulatory standards.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for users on the new system and data processes.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting during and after the migration process.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the data migration process, including mapping documents, data quality assessments, and user feedback.
- Prepare regular status reports for management on project progress and any identified issues.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Data Management, Aviation Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data migration projects, preferably in an aviation or maintenance environment.
- Familiarity with AMOS or similar aircraft maintenance software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.

- Experience with data transformation tools and ETL processes.

- Knowledge of the AMOS Data Transfer Module (APN 261) is essential.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and data compliance standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Advanced knowledge of different M&E Systems e.g. AMOS, Trax, Ramco Aviation, Ultramain, IFS Maintenix, OASES.
