Roles & Responsibilities

  • 5-10 years of Data Governance project experience with a lead role driving data governance at client sites
  • Experience performing gap analyses against industry standards and frameworks
  • Experience developing implementation plans and high-level approaches to change management and training
  • Experience reviewing and developing governance artifacts and documentation (e.g., data domains, domain inventories, governance org charts and RACI, process designs, data management policies, standard data models, metadata repositories and security practices)

Requirements:

  • Advance the client's BI platform maturity, assist the COE in managing new developments and ongoing maintenance, and help build a governance platform to make analytic assets searchable and enable data integration with Marketplace data
  • Perform gap analysis against industry standards and frameworks, and develop an implementation plan and high-level change-management/training approach
  • Review and develop governance artifacts and documentation such as data domain criteria, inventories, org charts/RACI, process designs, data management policies, standard data models/taxonomies, metadata repositories/records, and data security practices
  • Establish processes for defining and maintaining standard data models, definitions, classifications and taxonomies, and metadata, including a metadata repository and identifying data consumers (including third parties) while ensuring security practices

Job description

This is a remote position.

The Engagement Lead will help the client's BI platform advance in the maturity curve and assist COE team on their goal of effectively managing new developments and maintenance going forward. The client and Comerit will work together to build a governance platform to make analytic assets searchable and establish a process to facilitate data integration with data available in Marketplace.


The person in this role will perform Gap Analysis against industry standards and frameworks, Develop Implementation Plan, and a High level approach for change management and training.

You will Review and analyze or develop the following documents/artifacts:
-Criteria for determination of authoritative data domains
-Data domain inventories
-Data governance organization charts, operating structure, roles, and responsibilities, RACI matrix
-Process design artifacts and procedure guides
-Data review and approval process
-Data management policies and standards
-Process for defining and maintaining standard data models, definitions, classifications and taxonomies
-Metadata repository with required structural, descriptive and administrative attributes
-Metadata record identifying the data consumer(s) of a data element (including third party)
-Current security practices to protect sensitive information"
