Roles & Responsibilities

  • Associate’s degree, trade or technical school required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Degree in Electronics, Engineering, Industrial Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • HVAC/R, electro-mechanical, or industrial technology training/knowledge.
  • Three or more years of sales experience; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word) and strong written and oral communication.

Requirements:

  • Develop and execute market strategies and sales plans for HVAC/R sensors, including coordinating data and information from BAPI staff.
  • Establish long-term customer relationships by understanding their business needs and promoting appropriate BAPI products.
  • Conduct at least six customer site visits per year, present solutions, and close sales to meet quotas.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Service to ensure needed materials, order processing, and timely information; manage leads and forecasts.

We are adding to our SALES Team as BAPI continues to grow across global markets.

Position Summary: HVAC Sensor Sales adds value to BAPI and the Sales Team by selling BAPI’s HVAC/R Sensors using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to assist them in finding the right solutions and applying the products to their needs. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning, and technical development of products and services.

HVAC SENSOR SALES Principal Responsibilities:         

Make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop application of products in an effective manner by:   

  1. Determining market strategies & goals for products
  2. Obtaining & coordinating date & information from BAPI staff
  3. Establishing positive long-term relationships with customers by learning about their business, listening to and/or identifying their needs and promoting appropriate BAPI products
  4. Working with new and existing customers to develop relevant BAPI sales forecasts
  5. Researching and developing lists of potential customers
  6. Doing market research to determine customer needs & providing information to other staff
  7. Evaluating product marketability in terms of customers’ technical & manufacturing needs
  8. Following up on sales leads and making cold calls on potential customers
  9. Documenting all customer contacts according to procedures
  10. Working closely with Customer Service Representatives to assure they are up-to-date on needed information

Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner by:       

  1. Includes at least 6 customer site visits per year to meet with customers to grow sales 
  2. Formulating and proposing solutions to meet customer HVAC/R needs
  3. Making presentations to new and existing customers using BAPI tools
  4. Maintaining up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends & government regulations
  5. Making regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow-up on leads to maintain department/organizational goals (must meet departmental goals for call metrics) 
  6. Acting to close deals and finalize contracts
  7. Meeting established sales quotas and revenue goals
  8. Resolving problems with products and services and involve other departments as needed
  9. Approving and verifying all orders prior to releasing orders to Production
  10. Submitting pre-travel plans, posting-travel reports, and having timely action on action items
  11. Working with Marketing to assure needed materials/documents are available and developed as needed

Maintains industry knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing related publications; establishing networks.  

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects and tasks as delegated supervisor.

(R) Associate’s Degree, Trade or Technical School
