  • Manage strategy and theme development and oversee jury research projects (mock trials, focus groups), onsite jury selection, and design, coding, and grading of juror questionnaires; draft voir dire
  • Provide project management, business development, case management, budget management, and personnel development to support the consulting team and contribute to firm growth

JOB SUMMARY:


The Senior Jury Consultant is a key leader within the jury consulting team, bringing deep industry expertise, strong case leadership experience, and a demonstrated focus on business development. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality client service while contributing to the firm’s financial performance, thought leadership, and the growth and development of the consulting team. 


This role independently leads and designs research engagements, including developing test agendas and research instruments, facilitating focus groups and mock trials, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and producing comprehensive client reports in collaboration with the research team. 


When matters proceed to trial preparation, the Senior Jury Consultant prepares witnesses, collaborates with clients to develop voir dire strategies and questions, and leads the jury selection process. The role may also involve monitoring trials and providing real-time feedback to attorneys regarding the clarity, credibility, and persuasiveness of evidence and witness testimony. This position reports to the Chair of the Jury Consulting Advisory Steering Committee. 

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  


Exhibit proficiency in all aspects of litigation consulting services: 

  • Strategy and theme development 
  • Jury research projects such as mock trials and focus groups 
  • Witness preparation for deposition and trial 
  • Onsite jury selection (In court assistance) 
  • Designing, Coding and grading juror questionnaires  
  • Drafting voir dire 

Exhibit proficiency in these key consultant competencies: 

  • Project Management 
  • Business development  
  • Case management 
  • Budget management 
  • Personnel development 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple clients and to manage the development and delivery of work product   
  • Strong understanding of social science research methods, including qualitative and quantitative data analysis 
  • Strong understanding of the project delivery process and the interaction between the disciplines within a case team 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage the demands of multiple projects simultaneously  
  • Ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and be flexible in a constantly changing environment to attend to case and staff needs 
  • Ability to perform under pressure, as well as inflexible, but shifting deadlines 
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and concepts in verbal and written communication and presentations 
  • Solid interpersonal skills, effective problem-solving skills, tolerance for uncertainty, and ability to adapt to changing case loads 

EDUCATION & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • A minimum of a master's degree in social or behavioral sciences or communication  
  • 5+ years of experience in jury consulting 
  • Ability to travel 50-60% of the time

  • This position is 100% remote and supports east to west coast time zones
