Roles & Responsibilities

DoD SkillBridge eligibility: 180+ days of active duty service, within 12 months of separation or retirement, honorable discharge, completed TAPS/TGPS, ethics brief in the last 12 months, and written authorization from the Unit Commander to participate prior to internship.
Education: High School Diploma.
Required traits: excellent communication skills, professional work ethic, and a positive attitude.
Desired qualifications: military IT experience, industry IT certifications, active security clearance, and cloud experience (AWS, IBM Cloud, or Microsoft Cloud).

Requirements:

Participate in classroom training, on-the-job training, and mentorship to build skills in cloud, networking, cybersecurity, and desktop support.
Work on real-world IT tasks within VSO's projects, applying learning to design, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud-based environments.
Collaborate with premier IT teams and mentors to deliver high-quality IT services and solutions.

Are you a transitioning Servicemember who is interested in pursuing a career in IT? If so, then apply for a skillbridge position at Virtual Service Operations (VSO)! VSO focuses on helping military veterans’ transition from their military service to IT career paths.

VSO is seeking talented individuals with the ambition to go through classroom training, on the job training, and mentorship to grow their skillset and experience in cloud, networking, cybersecurity and desktop support services. VSO hopes to give you the opportunity to become an expert in the IT industry and meet your career goals.

Requirements

DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:

Has served at least 180 days on active duty
Is within 12 months of separation or retirement
Will receive an honorable discharge
Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS
Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.
Education: HS Diploma
