Field Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial finishing equipment. This is a remote, field-based position requiring regular travel throughout New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and New York. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on installation experience, and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field installation of:
  • Paint and powder coating booths
  • Ducting and ventilation systems
  • Industrial ovens
  • Finishing application equipment (pumps, spray systems, related components)
• Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of paint and powder coating equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, airflow, and pump-related issues and implement effective solutions
• Work closely with customers on-site to ensure equipment is installed and operating properly
• Complete service documentation, reports, and job summaries accurately and timely
• Maintain a safe and professional work environment while adhering to company and customer safety standards
• Collaborate with internal teams as needed to support project execution and service needs

• General understanding of mechanical installations, HVAC systems, and pump applications
• Hands-on experience working with industrial or mechanical equipment (finishing systems experience is a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and installation layouts
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently in the field
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within NJ, Eastern PA, and NY

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with paint or powder coating systems
• Background in industrial service, equipment installation, or field service roles
• Electrical or controls familiarity (not required, but a plus)

Work Schedule & Travel

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Travel: Regular regional travel required
• Off-shift work: Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work as needed for customer installations or shutdowns

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and install equipment components
• Comfortable working in industrial environments, including heights and confined spaces when required
