This is a remote position.
My VA Support is seeking a Virtual Interior Designer with a high level of English proficiency (B2+) for a full-time position requiring 45 hours per week.
As an Interior Designer, you'll create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces by assessing space requirements, determining optimal furniture placement, and selecting decorative items, adhering to relevant blueprint, building code, and inspection requirements.
Daily tasks include assisting with various duties such as modifying SketchUp drawings, creating new drawings with AutoCAD, and occasionally editing photos, changing backgrounds, or modifying images in Photoshop.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand initial goals and requirements for the space.
- Work with architects, engineers, painters, and builders for comprehensive space understanding.
- Analyze movement and use patterns of the space.
- Prepare sketches or other visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs to the client.
- Consult with clients to select materials, furnishings, and décor.
- Use design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans.
- Determine project timelines and costs, presenting accurate estimates to clients.
- Obtain necessary materials, adhering to project and budget specifications.
- Oversee the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements.
- Ensure client satisfaction by resolving any complaints or concerns.
- Maintain current knowledge of trends, materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, Reddit, SketchUp, and MS Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong sense of style and ability to create aesthetically pleasing interiors.
- Proficient visual design skills, including proportion and aesthetics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Basic understanding of building codes and inspection regulations related to interiors.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Coursework in computer-aided design (CAD) highly preferred.
- Interior design certification highly preferred.
- At least one year of related experience required.
