  • Lead and manage the EpicCare Ambulatory implementation, develop and execute a project plan including timelines, resources, and budget, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of Epic analysts, ensure effective communication, facilitate meetings, and drive collaboration and professional development.
  • Guide planning, design, build, test, and deployment phases using the Epic foundation system; ensure build accuracy and conduct system testing and validation.
  • Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, provide regular progress updates, manage risks and issues, and deliver training and post-deployment support.

Job Title: EpicCare Ambulatory Implementation Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic EpicCare Ambulatory Implementation Lead to spearhead the implementation of the Epic Systems EHR at our healthcare organization. This pivotal role requires deep expertise in the implementation of the Epic foundation system and the ability to lead a team of analysts through the entire project lifecycle, from planning and design to build, testing, and deployment. The successful candidate will ensure that the EpicCare Ambulatory module is implemented efficiently, on time, and within budget while meeting all organizational objectives and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership:

    • Lead and manage the implementation of the EpicCare Ambulatory module, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, technical, and administrative staff, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Team Management:

    • Oversee a team of Epic analysts, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
    • Facilitate team meetings and ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging professional growth and development.
  • Implementation Expertise:

    • Utilize in-depth knowledge of the Epic foundation system to guide the planning, design, build, test, and deployment phases of the project.
    • Ensure all build activities are completed accurately and efficiently, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
    • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure the integrity and functionality of the EpicCare Ambulatory module.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including clinicians, IT staff, and leadership, to gather requirements and ensure the system meets user needs.
    • Provide regular updates to project stakeholders, including progress reports, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
    • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the implementation process.
  • Training and Support:

    • Develop and implement training programs for end-users to ensure effective adoption and utilization of the EpicCare Ambulatory system.
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance post-deployment to ensure system stability and user satisfaction.
  • Quality and Compliance:

    • Ensure all implementation activities comply with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
    • Conduct regular quality assurance checks and audits to maintain the highest standards of system performance and reliability.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EpicCare Ambulatory implementation.
    • Proven track record of leading successful Epic EHR implementation projects, including full project lifecycle management.
    • Experience managing and mentoring a team of analysts or similar roles.
  • Skills:
    • Deep expertise in Epic Systems, specifically EpicCare Ambulatory module.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
