Drafter

This is a remote position.

Our client is looking for an Assistant Architectural Designer. They operate in the architecture and design industry and have built a strong reputation in recent years through consistent project delivery and a focus on thoughtful, high-quality design solutions.

This role supports senior architects throughout multiple stages of the design process, from early concepts through schematic development. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable contributing independently while collaborating closely with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Support senior architects in developing architectural concepts, schematic designs, and presentation materials
  

• Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, details, renderings, and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and related tools
  

• Assist with site analysis, including review of surveys, property boundaries, easements, and utilities
  

• Research zoning codes, building regulations, and project constraints to inform design decisions
  

• Translate design concepts into project-specific architectural solutions
  

• Help coordinate architectural designs with engineering systems and building technologies
  

• Prepare documentation for internal reviews, client presentations, and proposals
  

• Participate in design reviews, charrettes, and collaborative brainstorming sessions
  

• Communicate clearly with internal teams, consultants, and external partners to support project timelines and goals
  

• Stay current on architectural trends, tools, and best practices
  

• Provide additional design and documentation support as assigned
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  

• 2–3 years of hands-on architectural design experience
  

• Experience working in schematic design, including site planning and interior and exterior design
  

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools
  

• Solid understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methods
  

• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
  

• Strong attention to detail and design quality
  

Qualifications

• Experience developing concepts into buildable, project-specific solutions
  

• Familiarity with survey interpretation and site constraints
  

• Strong visual, technical, and design communication skills
