This is a remote position.
Our client is looking for an Assistant Architectural Designer. They operate in the architecture and design industry and have built a strong reputation in recent years through consistent project delivery and a focus on thoughtful, high-quality design solutions.
This role supports senior architects throughout multiple stages of the design process, from early concepts through schematic development. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable contributing independently while collaborating closely with project teams.
Support senior architects in developing architectural concepts, schematic designs, and presentation materials
Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, details, renderings, and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and related tools
Assist with site analysis, including review of surveys, property boundaries, easements, and utilities
Research zoning codes, building regulations, and project constraints to inform design decisions
Translate design concepts into project-specific architectural solutions
Help coordinate architectural designs with engineering systems and building technologies
Prepare documentation for internal reviews, client presentations, and proposals
Participate in design reviews, charrettes, and collaborative brainstorming sessions
Communicate clearly with internal teams, consultants, and external partners to support project timelines and goals
Stay current on architectural trends, tools, and best practices
Provide additional design and documentation support as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
2–3 years of hands-on architectural design experience
Experience working in schematic design, including site planning and interior and exterior design
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools
Solid understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methods
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
Strong attention to detail and design quality
Experience developing concepts into buildable, project-specific solutions
Familiarity with survey interpretation and site constraints
Strong visual, technical, and design communication skills
Full-time, 100% remote position
