Job description

TMP The Mortgage People:

We’re a Shared Ownership mortgage broker that likes to do things a little bit differently. We’re a friendly, professional and amazingly helpful bunch, and we like to think that we’ve got a company culture that blows the socks off the rest.

The role:

What we’re looking for is a Mortgage and Protection Consultant.  Come and join us, and you can expect your OTE to be in the region of £60,000+ pa.

In this role you’ll be in a great position to contribute to TMP’s overall sales performance by increasing our mortgage and protection production. You’ll be expected to provide extraordinary customer service, offering clients the best possible advice and making sure that we’re fair and transparent in everything we do. In return, we’ll provide you with a supportive working culture with a hint of friendly competition.

Please note this is a remote working position.

What you’ll be doing:

  • ·        Developing our business growth strategy with the Sales Manager and Managing Director to increase business volume and provide clients and introducers with extraordinary service
  • ·        Looking after service level agreements with introducers – these could relate to turnaround times for contacting clients or other specific requirements
  • ·         Recording all activity on our CRM system, including client contact, sales made and actions taken
  • ·         Managing all planned and actual client appointments via the Outlook diary/CRM system
  • ·         Conducting client financial and affordability assessments on behalf of our Housing Association Introducers
  • ·         Identifying customer needs and wants through a professional and supportive full fact find
  • ·         Advising on and selling the mortgage products available, and ensuring that those suggested are the best for the client’s individual circumstances
  • ·         Offering advice on available protection products to ensure that clients are fully protected in the event of death, critical illness and sickness
  • ·         Aiding business development efforts by using your initiative to find alternative ways to sell TMP’s services to those clients who already have an allegiance to competitors
  • ·         Working with the Client Account Management team to oversee and follow up on post sign-up work
  • ·         Producing a weekly activity and production report for Sales Manager. This involves measuring your performance against business volume targets, completion ratios and key performance indicators.
  • ·         Representing TMP at site open days, roadshows and events (this will include weekend events)
  • ·         Participating in a weekend rota in order to provide telephone and on-site cover for Introducers
  • ·         Ensuring you understand our regulatory responsibilities (i.e. treating customers fairly) and encouraging others to act in the right way

Requirements

We’re looking for:

  • ·         Someone who is ambitious, enthusiastic and loves to work as part of a team
  • ·         Great communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to speak confidently on the telephone
  • ·         Computer literacy – full training will be given on our specialist software
  • ·         A self-starter who is well organised and able to prioritise their own workload
  • ·         Good numeracy and literacy skills. Accuracy is really important
  • ·         Previous experience within a similar role
  • ·         A full CeMAP qualification

·       Because you’ll be working from home the majority of the time, you’ll need a reliable, fast broadband connection. We may also ask that you travel to our Head Office in Kettering from time to time
