ABAP Architect (m/f/d)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ABAP Developer & Architect to play a pivotal role in the design, development, and evolution of enterprise-grade SAP products. This role combines deep hands-on ABAP expertise, architectural leadership, and product-focused thinking. 
As a senior technical authority, you will shape scalable, cloud-ready SAP solutions using modern ABAP paradigms, SAP RAP, and SAP BTP, while mentoring development teams and collaborating closely with SAP Product Teams to ensure alignment with SAP’s strategic roadmap.

• Lead the end-to-end design and development of SAP ABAP add-ons and product features, from concept through delivery and maintenance
• Define and enforce ABAP development standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices
• Designscalable, extensible, and upgrade-safe architecturesaligned with SAP roadmap principles
• Drive adoption of modern ABAP, including RAP, CDS, ABAP OO, and clean core principles
• Architect and implement cloud-enabled and hybrid solutionsleveraging SAP BTP
• Guide teams through performance optimization, code quality reviews, and technical refactoring
• Collaborate closely with SAP Product Teams, product management, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Lead technical decision-making, risk assessment, and feasibility analysis
• Mentor, coach, and technically enable ABAP developers across seniority levels
• Contribute to long-term product strategy, innovation initiatives, and technical roadmap planning

• Core SAP & ABAP Expertise 
  • Expert-level knowledge of ABAP Add-On Development, including life cycle management, transport strategy, and release compatibility
  • Strong command of Object-Oriented ABAP, clean code principles, and design patterns
  • Deep expertiseinSAP RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) and service-based architectures
  • Advanced experience with CDS Views, OData services, and modern UI integration
• SAP BTP & Cloud 
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, side-by-side extensibility, and integrations
  • Experience with SAP Integration Suite, APIs, and event-driven scenarios
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing is a plus
• Architecture & Quality 
  • Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures
  • Strong focus on code quality, testability, and maintainability
  • Experience aligning solutions with Clean Core and SAP extensibility guidelines
