At Ecostack Innovations, we currently participate in several projects relating to environmental monitoring, and that establish nature-based solutions for climate resilience and human well-being.

Our work is contributing to developing promoting greener cities in line with the EU Green Deal goals. Through our work we address key Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG3, SDG6, SDG9, SDG11, SDG12, SDG13 and SDG 14

Our portfolio is growing fast, and we are currently looking for interns having a strong commercial awareness & are interested in a first amazing experience in the universe of startup environment.

Internship position: Environmental trainee internship (Remote)

Ecostack Innovations is seeking a candidate for a part-time Environmental trainee (Remote).

Ecostack Innovations is currently involved in a number of initiatives aiming to promote the uptake of nature-based solutions in cities. We work with an international team of colleagues and are interested to foster a more comprehensive understanding of the benefits arising from nature in cities.

We are looking for a brilliant and enthusiastic person with experience to join our team - ideally for at least 6 months. No experience is required, but you are passionate about writing on sustainability and environmental topics, and have a background in science (e.g. Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in geography, environmental sciences and engineering, landscape architecture, economics)

The internship will be carried out remotely due to the current global pandemic.

The student will report directly to the CEO. The position is demanding and requires the candidate to be highly motivated, able to work in teams but also independently, and organised in his/her approach. The main duties and responsibilities of the intern will include:

Environmental monitoring and placemaking

use stakeholder mapping approaches
work with communities on knowledge co-creation and learning for sustainable urban environments
carry out background research on urban greening and sustainability, and contribute to on going projects focusing on stakeholder engagement and market development,
contribute to business development in the field of nature-based solutions in cities,
use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to implement mapping approaches would be considered as an asset.

Content writing

Conduct research and generate new ideas for new website content and dissemination material relating to sustainable cities, health and the environment.
Write and publish new articles to enhance the presence of the company in the current market and reach different audiences.
Participate in dissemination and outreach activities

Additional Information

We welcome interns for a minimum of 3 months and up to one year, whilst a minimum internship duration of 6 months is preferable. A minimum of 20 hours per week need to be carried out during the internship.
