Roles & Responsibilities

6+ years Windows and Linux systems administration
2+ years provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments
Deep experience with AWS data services (Redshift, Glue, Athena, and Amazon RDS) and data architecture
Experience with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, CDK) and interacting with AWS APIs; ability to work independently and in a team

Requirements:

Design, implement, and manage scalable data architectures on AWS (Redshift, Glue, Athena, RDS)
Build and maintain data pipelines and data integration processes; optimize performance and cost
Manage production infrastructure using IaC tools (CloudFormation, CDK) and monitor reliability
Develop and implement disaster recovery and multi-region deployment strategies

Job description

This is a remote position.

Role: Data Architect

Location: Remote (United States)

Required skills:

* 6+ years Windows and Linux systems administration

* 2+ years provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments

* Deep experience with RedShift, Glue, Athena and Amazon RDS systems.

* AWS Disaster Recovery design and deployment across regions a plus

* Proficient with AWS services: AppStream, Compute and Network, Storage and CDN, Database, Analytics, Application Services, Deployment, and Management

* Experience with multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking

* Managing production infrastructure with CloudFormation, CDK etc.

* Familiarity interacting with AWS APIs, Infrastructure as a code.

* Manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team

Certified on at least one:

* AWS DevOps Engineering, AWS Certified Developer - Associate, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
