Technical Office Engineer

This is a remote position.

1. Shop Drawings & Detailing

· Prepare detailed shop drawings for:

o Wooden doors (including fire-rated doors)

o Fixed furniture (wardrobes, kitchens, wall cladding, counters)

o Loose furniture and custom joinery

o Upholstery items (frames, foam build-up, stitching references)

· Production:

o Plans, elevations, sections, and detailed joinery connections

o Fixing methods and installation details

2. Coordination & Revisions

· Coordinate drawings with:

o Technical Office Manager

o Production and factory teams

o Project engineers and site teams

· Update drawings based on:

o Consultant and client comments

o Approved samples and mock-ups

o Site conditions and coordination requirements

3. Material & Specification Compliance

· Ensure drawings reflect:

o Approved materials (MDF, plywood, veneer, solid wood)

o Finishes (lacquer, stain, veneer, HPL)

o Upholstery materials and hardware

· Clearly indicate:

o Dimensions, tolerances, finishes, and hardware codes

4. Factory & Production Support

· Prepare production-ready drawings suitable for:

o CNC Machining

o Carpentry, assembly, and finishing

· Support production teams with technical clarifications when required.

5. Documentation & Submittals

· Assist in preparing:

o Drawing submittal packages

o As-built drawings

o Revisions and technical logs

· Maintain proper drawing numbering and revision control.

Requirements

o Custom furniture manufacturing

· Proven experience with:

o Wooden doors and joinery details

o Upholstery detailing is a strong advantage

· Factory-based experience is mandatory.

Technical Skills

· Strong proficiency in:

o AutoCAD (mandatory)

· Good knowledge of:

o Joinery construction methods

o Wood materials, finishes, and hardware

o Factory production processes

· Knowledge of:

o CNC-based manufacturing drawings (preferred)

o SketchUp / Revit (added advantage)
