Roles & Responsibilities

  • 3+ years of experience as a Functional or Technical Business Analyst on medium to large IT projects, preferably in financial technology.
  • Proven ability to gather requirements and write clear acceptance criteria, including user stories and related artifacts, with strong verbal and written communication.
  • Experience in integration projects involving APIs and webhooks, with ability to coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, Monday, Miro, and Slack; familiarity with mobile app ecosystems is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Create and maintain IT project scoping documentation (Business Requirement Documents, User Stories, Storyboards, Service Blueprints, and Process Flows).
  • Engage with stakeholders early in projects to conduct feasibility studies and discovery.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate cross-functional/interdepartmental workflows; collaborate to gather requirements and scope features.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing and support ad-hoc tasks as required to support the organization.

About you:

  • Have you gained experience in a financial technology company as a BA or by doing similar scoping-related tasks? This role requires a good understanding of technical scoping in an Agile manner to cater to our multiple Engineering teams.
  • Critical to succeed in this role is the ability to quickly grasp complex systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. A strong and professional communicator is desirable. Actively contributes to their group to complete tasks, meet goals, or manage projects.



About the role:

This role forms part of a high-performing Service Delivery team that works closely with technology and other cross-functional teams within our global financial technology business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to grow their industry-specific skills and become a respected leader.

  • Responsible for IT project scoping documentation such as Business Requirement Documents, User Stories, Storyboards, Service Blueprints, and Process Flows.
  • This role allows you to work closely with stakeholders from various departments in very early stages of the project, involving feasibility studies and discovery. 
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously and handling interdepartmental workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an effort to gather requirements and scope projects and features comprehensively.
  • Build a strong understanding and become an expert in the tools used and the in-house products. 
  • Responsible for User Acceptance Testing and other ad-hoc tasks as required to support the organization.

 

Experience:

  • Experience required to +3 years in medium to large projects as a Functional or Technical Business Analyst.
  • Proven track record in communicating requirements both verbally and through user stories, with logical and clear acceptance criteria that are easily understood by developers, testers, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in integration projects requiring comprehensive knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and the ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work across different teams with competing interests and priorities, and the ability to get things done in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Platform experience will be highly regarded: Jira, Confluence, Trello, Monday, Miro, and Slack. Savvy users of mobile phone applications and experience in this space will be preferred.
