Vend Park is building the AI-powered digital infrastructure of the built world. In under two years, we’ve scaled to 23 cities and partnered with leading owners like Nuveen, Jamestown, and Federal Realty. We operate as a small, high-ownership engineering team where decisions move fast and code ships to production quickly and reliably.
We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer who is a strong TypeScript generalist and excited to work across the stack. This role is about building real systems end-to-end: customer-facing product, internal tools, AI workflows, and integrations with physical infrastructure.
You’ll play a key role in designing and implementing aspects of our v5 platform, working closely with product, design, and leadership. This is a high-impact role with direct ownership over architecture and execution, not a narrow feature factory. At Vend, you’ll be:
Designing and building end-to-end TypeScript systems across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
Implementing APIs, workflows, and background jobs that power automation and AI agents
Building modern, performant React-based web applications
Developing AI-native features for both internal operators and external customers
Working with real-time, event-driven systems tied to real-world assets
Contributing to architectural decisions, technical standards, and code quality
Shipping quickly, owning outcomes, and mentoring other engineers as we scale
Deep experience with TypeScript and strongly-typed system design
Proven ability to build full-stack applications end-to-end
Comfort with modern backend patterns (serverless, event-driven, real-time systems)
Strong product instincts and a bias toward practical, maintainable solutions
Excitement about AI-assisted development and building AI into production products
Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment with real ownership
Experience with AI workflows, LLM tooling, or agent-based systems
Exposure to IoT, hardware-adjacent systems, or physical-world integrations
Experience with auth, permissions, or multi-tenant SaaS platforms
Prior work on payments, billing, or financial systems
