Roles & Responsibilities

  • At least 5 years hands-on SCADA experience in IT support or related technical role; electric utility SCADA experience preferred.
  • Background options include SCADA IT support, vendor development team for SCADA systems, or system integration experience with SCADA.
  • Experience with security management and access provisioning, system monitoring/alerting, code deployments, disaster recovery, and data/display maintenance.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply technical skills; testing experience is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Provide SCADA system support and issue resolution in a remote, US-based environment.
  • Perform security management, access provisioning, monitoring/alerting, and code deployments for SCADA systems.
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery and data/display maintenance activities to ensure reliability.
  • Collaborate with vendors and system integrators (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro, Infosys) and internal teams on SCADA deployments and improvements.

Job description

Role: SCADA Support Engineer

Location: Remote

remote work but must be US based (must be due to working on Scada system)

Travel: may come up but not required

Must Haves:

Lets shoot for at least 5 years hands on experience with SCADA in some capacity preferably IT Support team, but system development would suffice. (this engineer could be from one of 3 backgrounds SCADA IT support, someone from a dev team of a vendor of a SCADA System, or previous system integration exp (hands on technical))

Ideal candidate is someone who has worked with SCADA in a support or development role (e.g., for a product company like OSI, Schneider, or ABB) or has system integration development/integrator experience with SCADA (perhaps employed previously with an SI like Accenture, Deloitte, WIPRO, Infosys, etc.).

Key skills:

1. At least 3 years hands on experience with SCADA in an IT support or other technical role. Must have experience or familiarity with typical SCADA support activities such security management and access provisioning, system alerting and monitoring, code deployments, disaster recovery, and data/display maintenance. Experience with SCADA in electric utilities (as opposed to others like water, gas, petro, etc.) preferred.

2. Ability to quickly learn and apply technical skills

3. Experiencing testing (nice to have)
