Roles & Responsibilities

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in digital product development, preferably with UX-driven projects, e-commerce, fintech, or SaaS.
  • Technical knowledge of APIs, databases, system integrations, and digital platforms; experience with GIS tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
  • Strong UX/UI understanding, including user research methods and customer journey mapping.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Figma (or similar UX tools), SQL, and process-mapping tools; Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; CBAP/PMI-PBA/UX certification is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Advocate for user-centric design by incorporating UX best practices and understanding user behaviors to shape product requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for digital products, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business leaders, product managers, designers, and developers to define and refine features that enhance the user experience.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and leverage data-driven insights from user research and analytics to prioritize improvements and drive delivery.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst plays a critical role in a digital product team, acting as a bridge between business needs, user experience, and technical solutions. This role is responsible for defining and optimizing digital product requirements with a user-centric approach, ensuring solutions enhance both business value and customer satisfaction. This role is instrumental in the development and optimization of digital solutions for Portfolio Management, with special attention to the integration of geospatial data and location-based analysis. The ideal candidate is a strong advocate for user experience (UX), aligning product development with real user needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User-Centric Advocacy: Ensure digital products are designed with a deep understanding of user behaviors, pain points, and needs, incorporating UX best practices into business analysis.
  • Requirement Analysis & Documentation: Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for digital products, ensuring they align with customer needs and business goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business leaders, product managers, designers, and developers to define and refine product features that enhance user experience.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend enhancements in workflows, automation, and digital processes to optimize both operational efficiency and user engagement.
    
  • Agile & Scrum Methodologies: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives) to ensure smooth product development.
    
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage user research, analytics, and feedback to guide product improvements and prioritize features that enhance customer satisfaction.
    
  • Risk & Impact Assessment: Identify potential risks, dependencies, and constraints, providing recommendations for mitigation.
    
  • Testing & Validation: Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business, technical, and user experience requirements before deployment.
    
    Qualifications & Skills:
    
  • Experience: 5+ years as a Business Analyst, preferably in digital product development, UX-driven projects, e-commerce, fintech, or SaaS industries.
    
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with APIs, databases, system integrations, and digital platforms. Experience working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools.
    
  • User Experience Knowledge: Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, user research methods, and customer journey mapping.
    
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex business needs into structured documentation.
    
  • Communication & Facilitation: Excellent stakeholder management and ability to bridge the gap between business, technical, and UX teams.
    
  • Tools & Methodologies: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Figma (or other UX design tools), SQL, process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart), and Agile methodologies.
    
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields. A CBAP, PMI-PBA, or UX certification is a plus.
