Position Overview
This role focuses on executing test plans to ensure the accuracy, performance, and reliability of Lean Tech's load-tracking product. Responsibilities include designing and performing manual tests, API testing, and database validation. The role involves close collaboration with product managers and developers to resolve issues, document bugs using tools like Jira, and verify data accuracy across systems. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality releases and maintaining product reliability within the logistics technology domain.
Key Responsibilities
Execute comprehensive test plans on new products focused on load tracking and tracing.
Design and implement detailed test cases to assess tracking and tracing features' accuracy, performance, and reliability.
Perform thorough manual testing of new features and updates.
Identify, document, and track bugs using issue-tracking systems, such as Jira.
Work closely with product managers and developers to troubleshoot and verify bug fixes, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
Collaborate actively with product managers and developers to resolve identified issues and verify solutions.
Validate data accuracy across multiple systems, including ELD accounts and TMS.
Develop and maintain test scripts for API testing to ensure integration quality and performance.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in test case design and execution
Proficiency with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test management software
Intermediate skills in API testing and writing test scripts for API testing
Beginner-level understanding of database validation
Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience with logistics or freight technology is preferred
Experience working with ELD providers and data is considered a plus
Comfortable participating in video meetings for collaboration
Located in Central or Eastern time zone for team collaboration
Experience with automated testing tools is nice to have
API testing experience in tools like Postman is a nice to have
Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTP) is nice to have
Basic understanding of security testing concepts
Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team setting
