Experience 5 + years of construction estimating experience. Experience in the Australian construction market is preferred. Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office with strong understanding of construction methods and blueprint reading, Quantity Surveying, background and estimating Effective verbal and written skills and strong negotiation abilities. Attention to Detail. High accuracy in estimates with strong organizational skills. Continuous Improvement Stay updated on industry trends and open to new technologies and process enhancements. Must have own access to estimating software prior to role commencement. Demonstrate the ability or have prior experience in managing a team of estimators

Core responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates and project budgets, including materials, labor, and equipment, ensuring alignment with project goals and constraints. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and provide updates on estimation progress. Maintain detailed estimation records, generate reports for management and stakeholders, and review project documents to ensure a thorough understanding of requirements. Implement process improvements, utilize estimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency, and stay updated on industry trends and advancements. Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, collaborate on project handover, and conduct post-project reviews to refine future estimates
