The Role: Senior Mathematician
This role exists to lead the mathematical design of new, high-quality slot games from concept through to launch. You'll be responsible for building the models that define game behaviour, performance, volatility, and player engagement ensuring each title is both mathematically robust and commercially competitive. Working across creative, development, and analytics teams, youll blend statistical insight with gameplay innovation while ensuring all models meet strict US regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Minimum 5 years experience designing mathematics for video slot or casino-style games

• Design and implement slot game math models, including reel strips, pay tables, bonus features, volatility profiles, and RTP structures

• Build and maintain detailed simulations to validate behaviour, player outcomes, and game performance

• Collaborate with designers to refine game concepts and ensure mechanics are both engaging and mathematically sound

• Ensure compliance with US regulatory standards, including Class III mechanics and jurisdiction-specific requirements

• Analyse player behaviour and game performance to identify improvements and optimisation opportunities

• Support balancing and tuning of games during development and after launch

• Present complex mathematical concepts clearly to non-technical teams

• Mentor junior team members and contribute to process and tool improvements

About You

• 5+ years of experience in slot game mathematics within a reputable, high-quality gaming studio

• Strong proficiency in probability, statistics, combinatorics, random processes, and applied mathematics

• Skilled in simulation and modelling tools such as Python, R, Excel, MATLAB, or similar

• Deep understanding of US slot market expectations, mechanics, and regulatory constraints

• Ability to translate creative concepts into mathematically sound, commercially viable game models

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally across creative and technical teams

• Familiarity with both European and North American market variations

• Experience collaborating with distributed or remote product teams

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field (advantageous)
