Your mission


As scheduler processing you have the challenging task to plan processing activities in a very dynamic and changing environment. You are responsible for making the daily planning for processing (operator and machine planning). It is your mission to maintain and manage a regionally integrated Processing schedule across all crops, to ensure that manufacturing orders and tests are completed on time and capacities are used in an (cost and time) effective and efficient manner.


You will closely work together with your capacity planning team, which consists of 3 additional schedulers. You will report directly to the Manager Capacity Planning. Besides, you will have frequent contact with colleagues from Supply Planning, Order Management, Scheduling, Seed Processing, Quality Control and Production.

 


Your major accountabilities are

 

  • Build and maintain a short-term Processing Schedule (detailed plan – 6 weeks horizon) that gives transparency about capacities, lead times, priorities and occupancy levels based on available labor and machine capacity on short-term. 
  • Lead an effective discussion with stakeholders with the goal of coming to an aligned schedule
  • According to established priority guidelines set by the supply planning and order administration, schedule products in an efficient and reliable way minimizing changeovers and clean downs, reducing cost. 
  • Prioritizing of manufacturing orders in Processing Schedule on shop floor to attain maximum efficiency to meet agreed upon due dates. 
  • Strong drive to learn and deeply understand shop floor processes to be able to assess the impact of scheduling decisions.   
  • Mitigate capacity constraints with Team Leads and/or Managers in Processing/Quality Control/Supply Chain, by proactively assessing bottlenecks and preparing proposals.
  • Discuss planned due dates to Supply Chain planner / Order Administrator.
  • Reporting progress updates to Regional Master Planner.

 


Your profile

 

To successfully execute this challenging position, you are required to possess well-developed communication skills and assertive decision-making skills. Your job will be performed in a dynamic environment. In conclusion, to be successful in this role you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply chain, Business, Agronomy, or related field
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in Logistics/Supply Chain is preferred, starters are welcome to apply
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in ERP systems (SAP would be preferred)
  • Knowledge of planning tools and processes
  • Proficiency in Dutch is required
