Job Purpose:

The Rail Ticketing Coordinator will be responsible for booking and ticketing all transportation and ancillary offerings including but not limited to rail, air, and ferries, as well as maintaining the in-house rail operations system. This role develops professional expertise with a solid understanding of team and department goals and operations, seeking continuous growth and learning opportunities.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transportation Booking and Management:
    • Book, hold, and ticket all rail, air, and ferry tickets.
    • Update bookings with schedule changes and customer itinerary changes as required.
    • Check rail costings, booking, and ticketing to ensure accuracy and compliance for all deadlines and rates.
  • System Expertise and Maintenance:
    • Maintain and update the in-house air and rail operations system as required, including the addition of new data as needed.
    • Be an expert on and train others on all air and rail booking and ticketing systems 
  • Customer Service and Support:
    • Deal with internal and external ticketing inquiries with a focus on the customer and assisting the call center teams
    • Assist in educating the sales team and other internal teams about the ticketing process.
    • Perform other duties as required, including working overflow of Transportation Logistics or other Operational responsibilities.
  • Product Enhancement and Analysis:
    • Proactively seek out opportunities to increase gross margin and customer experience and train on implementation.
    • Research all rail profitability questions and respond in a timely manner as requested.
    • Proactively suggest enhancements to the product portfolio based on booking trends, schedule changes, and developments.
  • Project Support and Collaboration:
    • Support all relevant projects assigned in the Ticketing team.
    • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, building productive and stable working relationships.

Perform all other duties as assigned to meet team's objectives and ensure business operational efficiency.
