WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Eastern Canada Regional Sales Manager is a remote leadership role requiring residence within Eastern Canada. This position is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and operating the region as a strategic business unit across Recreation, Industrial, and Public Safety channels.  Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Greater Toronto Area. Other locations may be considered in exceptional circumstances.

This role requires a leader who can balance long-term strategy with disciplined execution. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial ownership, structured decision-making, and the ability to elevate performance across all markets within the region.

This is not a transactional sales role. It is a business leadership position with full accountability for regional growth, agency and account performance, forecasting discipline, and strategic expansion throughout Eastern Canada.

 

WHAT WE OFFER

We estimate the salary range for this position to be between $90,000 to 120,000 annually, dependent on the experience level of the candidate. Additionally, we offer extended health and dental benefits, Group RSP with employer matching, a generous bank of wellness days, and industry perks. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 1. Strategic Leadership and Sales Agency Collaboration

  • Lead and manage regional sales agencies, ensuring alignment with Mustang Survival’s corporate strategy, and executing financial goals.
  • Collaborate closely with sales agencies to identify market opportunities, co-develop growth strategies, and implement tactical plans to drive success.
  • Act as a strategic partner, providing agencies with guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the tools and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Conduct structured territory business reviews and performance evaluations with agency partners, holding them accountable to financial targets, service standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and represent Mustang Survival at national and regional trade, retailer, and consumer events, leveraging these platforms to strengthen brand presence, deepen relationships, and drive regional sales growth.
  • Provide analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends with reports to Leadership, Product Management and Marketing.  
  • Manage the engagement and implementation of new reporting and forecasting systems used by the sales team.

2. Business Development

  • Drive proactive new business acquisition across all channels, identifying high-value opportunities and emerging market segments.
  • Build and maintain a disciplined, forward-looking sales pipeline to ensure sustained revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute targeted market penetration strategies aligned with corporate objectives and regional dynamics.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs to inform expansion initiatives.

3. Key Account Optimization

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with the Top 20 regional accounts.
  • Develop and execute tailored account growth strategies focused on revenue expansion, margin optimization, and long-term partnership value.
  • Lead annual program planning, at-once opportunity creation, and structured performance reviews.
  • Monitor account-level performance using data-driven analysis to identify optimization opportunities and protect market share.

 4. Reporting and Financial Accountability

  • Maintain rigorous reporting practices, including a weekly pipeline report that tracks sales activities, opportunities, and performance against targets.
  • Accurately forecast and report on territory performance, including revenue, budget alignment, new business, and margin goals.
  • Prepare regular updates for the Sales Director, ensuring transparency and accountability in all aspects of the territory’s performance.

 5. Territory Ownership and Market Advocacy

  • Own the Region, treating it as a business unit with full accountability for its growth, profitability, and operational success.
  • Serve as the voice of the region, providing the Sales Director and other stakeholders with actionable insights on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive activity.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans that prioritize market share growth, customer engagement, and revenue objectives.
