Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Authorized to work in the United States (U.S. citizens or eligible to work; no sponsorship).

Requirements:

  • Serve as organization spokesperson on specialized projects or programs and provide innovative solutions to complex, sensitive issues across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop strategy and technology roadmaps for the design and development of complex products, platforms, systems, and software across multiple engineering disciplines and business units.
  • Communicate strategy and roadmaps to executive staff, industry partners, and customers; leverage technical and business expertise to influence high-level decisions.
  • Mentor less-experienced staff, provide consultation and feedback for new product development and design reviews, and participate in the process to select future technical leaders; champion large projects aligned with long-range goals.

Description


Recognized authority internally and externally on leading-edge technologies, theories, and techniques.
 
Provides innovative solutions to complex and critically sensitive issues affecting multiple disciplines and workgroups.
 
Determines and pursues courses of action essential in accomplishing objectives.
 
Integrates advanced technology, theories or techniques that have a significant continued impact across disciplines and business units.
 
Serves as organization spokesperson on specialized projects or programs.
 
Champions large projects that affect the company's long-range goals and objectives. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.
 
Develops strategy and technology roadmaps for the design and development of complex products, platforms, systems, software, and technology across multiple engineering disciplines, platforms, Global Business Units, and the company at large.
 
Communicates strategy and technology roadmaps to executive staff, industry partners, and customers; leverages recognized technical and business expertise to influence, guide, and shape business strategy and decision-making at the highest organizational levels.
 
Provides consultation, design input, and feedback for new product development and design reviews across multiple organizations and architectures.
 
Guides and mentors less- experienced staff members to set an example of engineering design innovation and excellence.
 
Participates in and provides input on the process for the selection of future technical leaders. Master's or Ph.D.
 
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. Education: Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 15+ years.
