Strong experience with IBM GDPS architecture, administration, and design/implementation to meet RTO/RPO objectives
Expertise in IBM Global Mirror replication, including configuration of asynchronous replication, Single Direction sessions, and failover/failback workflows
Hands-on experience with IBM DS8000 storage, Metro/Global Mirror, FlashCopy, and DFSMS for storage allocation, optimization, and policy enforcement on z/OS
Automation and scripting skills using REXX, JCL, NetView, and GDPS scripting for automated failover, DR testing, and reporting
Requirements:
Design and implement GDPS Metro, GDPS Global-GM, Metro Global-GM, and Continuous Availability solutions to meet RTO/RPO objectives.
Configure GDPS policies, GEOPARM, standard actions, and takeover/planned action scripts; develop and maintain GDPS automation scripts for failover/failback and site-switch scenarios.
Monitor and troubleshoot GDPS environments using NetView panels, GDPS GUI, SDF, and real-time automation tools; support customer deployment testing, documentation, and guidance.

IBM GDPS Architecture & Administration
Design and implement GDPS Metro, GDPS Global‐GM, Metro Global‐GM, and GDPS Continuous Availability solutions to meet RTO/RPO objectives.

2. IBM Global Mirror Expertise
Implement and manage asynchronous Global Mirror replication
Configure Global Mirror Single Direction and Failover/Failback sessions, including journal volume design for DS8000 storage.
Integrate FlashCopy for DR practice sessions and point‐in‐time recovery operations.
3. Mainframe Storage Engineering
Configure and manage IBM DS8000 storage with Metro Mirror, Global Mirror, FlashCopy, and Safeguarded Copy.
Utilize DFSMS for storage allocation, optimization, and policy enforcement on IBM z/OS.
Design storage layouts, performance tuning, capacity planning, and health checks.
4. Automation & Scripting
Automate GDPS and storage operations using REXX, JCL, NetView command language, and custom GDPS scripts.
Create automated workflows for backup, restore, DR testing, and reporting.
5. High Availability & Disaster Recovery
Architect and support Parallel Sysplex, Coupling Facility structures, Sysplex Failure Management, and cross‐site failover mechanisms.
Conduct DR drills, failover/failback testing, and continuous availability scenarios
