15–20 years of senior-level network engineering experience in private cloud environments
Mastery of Universal IPv6 concepts including ULA and Link-Local addressing, ICMPv6 diagnostics (Neighbor Solicitations, Router Advertisements), and the ability to implement Stateful and Stateless DHCPv6
Windows and Linux multi-platform networking expertise: Windows (PowerShell, netsh) for IPv6 configuration; Linux networking stacks (systemd-networkd, NetworkManager, ifupdown) and iproute2 usage
Private cloud fabric experience with virtualized networking (OVS, Bridge-utils) and IPv6 multicast handling across hypervisors (KVM, ESXi)
Requirements:
Agnostic OS Integration: Deploy and troubleshoot IPv6 on Windows (Server/Desktop) and Linux distributions (Debian, RHEL, SUSE, Alpine, etc.)
Centralized Management: Oversee the primary Management VPC providing core services (IPAM, DHCPv6, DNS) to all private cloud VPCs
Isolated Fabric Architecture: Maintain Layer 2/3 boundary using VXLAN or EVPN to ensure VPC isolation in a 100% on-premises standalone environment
Internal Routing Mastery: Manage internal BGP or OSPFv3 to route traffic between VPCs without external gateway dependency

Number of open positions: 2 open positions – 1 Senior and 1 Architect Years of experience: 15 to 20 years - Senior level Remote role
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to manage the core fabric of a fully isolated, standalone private cloud. This environment is "dark " (no external traffic) and utilizes a multi-VPC architecture. You will be the primary authority on our Centralized IPv6 Management VPC , ensuring that any OS—regardless of flavor or version—communicates flawlessly within our internal ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Agnostic OS Integration: Expertly deploy and troubleshoot IPv6 on any Windows version (Server/Desktop) and any Linux distribution (Debian, RHEL, SUSE, Alpine, etc.).
Centralized Management: Oversee the primary Management VPC that provides all core services (IPAM, DHCPv6, DNS) to the rest of the private cloud VPCs.
Isolated Fabric Architecture: Maintain the Layer 2/3 boundary using VXLAN or EVPN to ensure VPC isolation in a 100% on-premises, standalone environment.
Internal Routing Mastery: Manage internal BGP or OSPFv3 to handle traffic between VPCs without any external gateway dependency.
Kernel & Registry Tuning: Conduct in-depth troubleshooting of Linux sysctl settings and Windows Registry keys to optimize IPv6 stack behavior, particularly regarding Neighbor Discovery and Privacy Extensions.
Technical Requirements
Universal IPv6 Knowledge:
Mastery of Unique Local Addresses (ULA) and Link-Local addressing.
Expertise in ICMPv6 diagnostics within a closed loop (Neighbor Solicitations, Router Advertisements).
Ability to implement Stateful and Stateless DHCPv6 to accommodate varying OS requirements.
Multi-Platform Networking:
Windows: Proficiency in PowerShell and netsh for complex IPv6 interface configurations and managing internal-only Active Directory networking.
Linux: Expert knowledge of the various networking stacks ( systemd-networkd , NetworkManager , ifupdown ) and manual iproute2 command usage.
Private Cloud Fabric: Experience with virtualized networking (OVS, Bridge-utils) and how hypervisors (KVM, ESXi, etc.) handle IPv6 multicast traffic.
