SAP Basis Administration

Qualifications/Requirements
- 10+ Years in SAP Basis
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, PI/PO, etc.).
- Manage client copies, system refreshes, transport management, performance tuning, and user administration.
- Monitor system health, logs, and jobs to ensure optimal performance.

Cloud Knowledge
- Support SAP systems hosted on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understand concepts around VPCs, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and endpoint architecture for SAP workloads.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to ensure secure connectivity between on-prem and cloud.

Upgrades & Patching
- Plan and execute system upgrades, enhancement packs, support packs, and kernel upgrades.
- Ensure minimal downtime through effective cutover planning and system copies.
- Conduct regression testing and validation post-upgrade.

SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Support integration of BTP services with on-premise and cloud SAP systems.
- Ensure security, connectivity, and performance of BTP-based applications.

Security & Compliance
- Manage SAP authorizations, roles, and profiles.
- Ensure compliance with security standards (IAM, SSO, certificates, GDPR, SOX, etc.).
- Conduct audits and vulnerability assessments.

Operations & Support
- Manage system monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot issues across SAP applications, DBs , and OS layers.
- Collaborate with functional/technical teams for smooth operations.

Mandatory Skills:

SAP Basis Expertise (10+ years) – Installation, configuration, administration, and support of SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, SolMan, PI/PO).

System Operations & Performance Management – Client copies, system refreshes, transport management, performance tuning, job and system monitoring.

Cloud-Based SAP Administration – Hands-on support of SAP systems hosted on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including connectivity and architecture concepts.

Upgrades & Maintenance – Planning and execution of SAP upgrades, enhancement packs, support packs, kernel upgrades, and cutover activities.

Security & Compliance Management – SAP authorizations, roles, IAM, SSO, certificates, and compliance with SOX/GDPR/security audits.

Preferred Skills:

SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) – Integration, connectivity, and performance support between BTP and SAP on-prem/cloud systems.

Disaster Recovery & Backup Strategy – Experience designing and supporting DR, backup, and recovery for SAP workloads.

Cross-Layer Troubleshooting – Ability to diagnose issues across SAP applications, databases, OS, and infrastructure layers.

Collaboration & Remote Support Experience – Proven ability to work with cloud engineers, functional teams, and distributed stakeholders in a remote environment.
