  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD).

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be directly responsible for leading the design and delivery of automation frameworks, infrastructure standards, and cloud services. Qualified candidates will demonstrate advanced technical aptitude, the ability to evaluate trade-offs and long-term maintainability, and a strong propensity for learning new tools and techniques in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with development, architecture, and security teams to deliver new services and features, while influencing broader technical direction and ensuring operational excellence for Restaurant365’s SaaS platform. 

How you'll add value:
  • Leadership & Mentorship 
  • Lead design and implementation of automation frameworks and provisioning standards. 
  • Mentor engineers on best practices for automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure reliability. 
  • Provide oversight on technical implementation to ensure scalability, maintainability, and security. 
  • Represent the DevOps team as a technical leader in cross-functional projects and reviews. 
  • Present solutions and recommendations to stakeholders, influencing technical direction. 
  • Execution & Collaboration 
  • Architect and automate infrastructure in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a “security-first” mindset. 
  • Build and manage containerized environments (AKS, EKS, ECS, Kubernetes, Docker). 
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD). 
  • Utilize scripting and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, YAML, Python, Bash, PowerShell). 
  • Ensure system reliability through monitoring, capacity planning, and incident response. 
  • Implement and adhere to security policies; research and remediate vulnerabilities. 
  • Partner with delivery teams (goal ratio 3:1) to provide DevOps support, including infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline delivery, and reliability best practices. 
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, vendors, and IT to deliver reliable SaaS services. 
  • Maintain documentation of cloud infrastructure, standards, and automation. 
  • Stay current on infrastructure trends and recommend adoption of emerging technologies. 

  • What you'll need to be successful in this role:
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 6–10 years of related experience in DevOps, infrastructure automation, or cloud engineering. 
  • Proven expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation). 
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell). 
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure services (e.g., AKS, ECS/EKS, Functions/Lambda, S3, ALB/ELB). 
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Git, ArgoCD). 
  • Advanced Linux engineering skills and solid Windows administration experience. 
  • Familiarity with web server technologies (Nginx, Apache Tomcat). 
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and ensure long-term maintainability. 
  • Recognized as a technical leader with significant contributions to complex projects. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present technical solutions to cross-functional teams. 
  • AWS or Azure certification preferred. 

  • R365 Team Member Benefits & Compensation
  • This position has a salary range of $132,000-$198,000 annually. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location. Restaurant365 focuses on equitable pay for our team and aims for transparency with our pay practices.
