Job Description: SimIS in support of Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land-Maritime Norfolk, provides on-call Program Management Office services (sustainment, modernization, cybersecurity, systems integration, engineering, and data analytics) for DLA’s Material Operations Support (MOS) application for material procurement processes and shipyard operations. SimIS seeks a Senior Application Developer to design, build, and deliver innovative enterprise-scale software solutions. Working alongside Business Analysts, Systems Architects, and project teams, you will transform business requirements into powerful applications that drive mission success. You’ll develop and integrate web-based and mobile solutions using modern frameworks, tools, and APIs, contributing to both technical strategy and hands-on implementation for complex, high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop software based on requirements developed by Business Analysts to meet the business needs at the enterprise level.
Proficiently execute the work using the tools and techniques implemented for the project.
Work directly with Systems Architect to develop and implement new third party applications, tools, and programming libraries to meet the business development goals of the client.
Utilize web-based software such as Java, HTML, .NET, AngularJS, JavaScript, SOAP, REST API, mobile development, and Web Based API in the building of software applications.
10% travel required.
Qualifications
Five (5) years of experience in application development.
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) to support Low-Code/No-Code Development Platform models.
Experience developing application/process automation software based on BPMN models, experience using software tools such as Appian, Salesforce, Nintex, etc. with Microsoft SQL Server databases and Microsoft .NET development environment.
Experience in agile and hybrid low-code application development.
Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
