Summary:
Within the field services department, the incumbent’s primary responsibility is to ensure the installation and commissioning of OPTEL systems at client sites. They also play a key role in maintenance, training, and technical support to guarantee customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Principal tasks:
  • Install OPTEL systems at client sites in accordance with established standards;
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical installation while ensuring compliance with quality standards;
  • Collaborate with the technical support and factory design team to diagnose and resolve issues;
  • Train end-users on the proper use of OPTEL systems;
  • Prepare complete and accurate installation reports;
  • Support clients during system qualification;
  • Perform maintenance and repair on installed systems, as requested by the customer service department;
  • Conduct engineering visits when required;
  • Produce detailed service reports;
  • Identify potential sales opportunities (new contracts, complementary systems).

Requisite Skills:
  • College diploma in electronics, computer science, electromechanics, or related field, or equivalent experience;
  • Strong knowledge in computer science and electronics;
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetics industries (asset);
  • Hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment;
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly;
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and ability to work effectively under pressure;
  • Strong client orientation and solid teamwork skills;
  • Resourcefulness, adaptability, versatility, and flexibility;
  • Availability to travel approximately three weeks per month;
  • Valid driver’s license and passport;
  • High curiosity and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence.
