Delivery Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect is a pivotal role that requires a versatile professional capable of navigating technical consulting, sophisticated solution design, and hands-on technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle. We are seeking an experienced Architect to lead our e-commerce technology infrastructure, with a primary focus on Shopify ecosystems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex technical integrations, migration strategies, and overall architectural vision for our digital commerce platforms.

• Translate complex business requirements into robust technical architectures
• Provide technical consulting that drives prospective client engagement
• Design comprehensive solution frameworks that align technology with strategic business objectives
• Lead delivery teams through intricate system integration and migration projects
• Collaborate across multiple organizational functions to ensure successful technology implementations

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership and Delivery Support - 

• Design and architect comprehensive e-commerce technology solutions leveraging Shopify and related technologies
• Lead complex platform migration and replatforming initiatives
• Develop and maintain robust integration strategies between Shopify and other enterprise systems
• Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance to engineering teams
• Perform high-level system design and technical architecture planning
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and integration approaches
• Ensure scalability, performance, and security of e-commerce technology infrastructure
• Manage and mentor engineering team members, fostering professional growth and technical excellence
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
• Assist the Managing Director in operating the Implementation business unit through escalations, team assignments, and composition
• Develop and maintain internal tooling to improve efficiency and quality of deliverables
• Ensure the quality of work performed, maintain project health, and support clients with strategic technical recommendations
• Lead code reviews, knowledge transfer sessions, and challenging project tasks
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and eCommerce industry trends, sharing insights with the team and clients

Project Management and Client Relations

• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs
• Collaborate with Project Managers to prioritize tasks, discuss project-related issues, and provide necessary support
• Maintain transparent and regular communication with team members, project managers, and clients
• Present accurate timelines and deadlines to clients, managing expectations and ensuring team alignment

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for technical innovation and process improvement across projects and internal operations
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of the company's development framework and methodologies
• Proactively suggest and implement strategies to improve project efficiency and client satisfaction

Requirements

Leadership & Management Capabilities

• Strong people management skills
• Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional engineering teams
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in agile software development methodologies

Shopify Ecosystem

• Advanced knowledge of Shopify Plus platform
• Experience with Shopify APIs and custom app development
• Understanding of Shopify's GraphQL and REST APIs
• Expertise in headless commerce architectures
• Familiarity with Shopify App Store and custom integration development

Integration & Migration Skills

• Proven experience in large-scale e-commerce platform migrations
• Expertise in API integration strategies
• Experience with middleware and integration platforms
• Knowledge of data migration techniques and tools
• Understanding of omnichannel commerce architectures

Technical Stack

• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Ruby)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Understanding of modern web technologies and frameworks

Physical demands requirements

Common office/desk environment that involves long periods of time at a stationary desk with extensive computer work that requires repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

If this role is filled in the US, the annual salary range is $175,000.00 - $200,000.00 USD and is commensurate to several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to years of experience, skill set / qualifications, and geographical work location considering differences in cost of living, therefore, actual base pay offered may vary.
