About the Role

As an experienced Lead AI Engineer on our Platform Team you will be responsible for supporting our project teams with our internal platform/foundation code to accelerate their ability to deliver projects faster and at a higher quality. You will be the bridge between our sales teams, project teams, and our foundational codebase, ensuring that we maintain high margins while delivering excellent work to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Development & Support

• Maintain, enhance, and expand our foundational codebase ("Foundry") that serves as reusable building blocks for project teams
• Support project teams in effectively utilizing our platform components, helping them achieve 50-70% reuse of existing code
• Identify opportunities to incorporate successful project implementations back into the platform for future reuse
• Proactively address bugs, performance issues, and feature gaps in the platform

Training & Enablement

• Reduce barriers to productivity by creating training materials and documentation for platform components
• Design and implement onboarding processes to help team members become productive with the codebase quickly
• Provide hands-on support through pairing sessions and code reviews with project teams

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with sales teams to understand upcoming project requirements and advise on platform capabilities and impact
• Collaborate with project teams throughout the delivery lifecycle to understand what's working and what needs improvement

About You:

• 5+ years of experience building production-level AI solutions
• Strong experience designing and implementing reusable systems, modules, and components
• Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, RAG, and agent systems
• Experience supporting and mentoring other engineers in technical implementation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Experience working in a consulting or services environment with client-deployed solutions
• Proven ability to balance technical excellence with practical business outcomes
• Experience working with distributed teams across multiple projects
