Roles & Responsibilities

  • Experience as a Yardi Voyager system administrator or similar property management software, with hands-on work across modules such as Affordable Housing, RENTCafé, Maintenance, and Procure2Pay.
  • Strong training, onboarding, and user-support skills, including developing SOPs, user guides, and video tutorials, and delivering organization-wide training.
  • Proven ability to ensure data quality and regulatory compliance (HUD, LIHTC, HOME, USDA RD) and manage compliance data flows (TRACS, 50059s, EIV) with meaningful analytics and reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Property Operations, Compliance, Tenant Services, Maintenance, IT, and external vendors to implement system-based processes and integrations.

Requirements:

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Yardi Voyager and related modules; configure user roles, workflows, and permissions; perform regular data audits and ensure data integrity.
  • Coordinate with external support and internal IT to resolve issues, apply updates, and manage integrations with resident portals, payment systems, maintenance/work order, and CRM.
  • Design, deliver, and maintain training programs for staff; create onboarding and refresher programs, SOPs, guides, and video tutorials.
  • Lead process improvement and cross-functional initiatives to streamline workflows, support rollout of new modules/features, and ensure regulatory compliance and robust reporting.

Pay Range: $87,181 - $96,868/year

Location: This is a remote position. Candidates must reside in California at the time of hire.

SUMMARY 

The Yardi System Administrator/Trainer plays a critical role in supporting TNDC’s mission by ensuring effective use of the property management system across the real estate portfolio. This position is responsible for system administration, staff training, and process optimization, with a focus on driving measurable improvements in operations. This role acts as the bridge between operations, finance, and IT—ensuring that business processes are efficient; data is accurate, and staff receive effective support and training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

System Administration: 

  • Serve as the primary administrator for property management systems including Yardi Voyager and associated modules (Affordable Housing, RENTCafé, Maintenance, Procure2Pay, etc.). 

  • Configure user roles, workflows, and permissions to align with operational and compliance standards. 

  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance. 

  • Liaise with external support and internal IT teams to escalate and resolve technical issues and implement updates. 

  • Support integrations with other systems in resident portals, payment processing, maintenance/work order system, and CRM case management platforms. 

 

Training & Support: 

  • Design and deliver training programs across the organization, with heavy emphasis on Property Management and Compliance staff, including onboarding, refresher courses, and new feature rollouts. 

  • Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, and video tutorials tailored to workflows. 

  • Provide ongoing support to staff to ensure consistent and accurate system usage. 

  • Coordinate process Improvement. 

  • Collaborate with leadership of Property Operations, Compliance, Tenant Services and Maintenance, and other teams across the organization to identify and implement system-based solutions that streamline workflows and improve efficiency. 

  • Support the rollout of new modules and features that enhance operational performance. 

  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Compliance, and Maintenance teams. 

 

Data Quality, Compliance, Reporting & Analytics: 

  • Ensure that Yardi maintains regulatory compliance with HUD, LIHTC, HOME, USDA RD and local programs. 

  • Monitor and troubleshoot TRACS, 50059s, EIV, and other compliance data flows. 

  • Develop, standardized, custom reports and dashboards for leadership, operations, and finance teams. 

  • Manage data integrity, perform data audits, and support monthly/annual reporting cycles. 

  • Attend meetings and provide data to support data driven decision-making.  

  • Other duties as requested.
