Roles & Responsibilities

  • 5+ years of sales experience in diagnostics or life sciences, with a proven track record of prospecting and closing deals.
  • Experience selling pathology-related products/services or healthcare diagnostics; knowledge of Anatomic Pathology (Derm, GI, GU) is a plus.
  • Strong strategic planning and account management skills with a demonstrated ability to create territory plans and achieve sales quotas.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; ability to travel extensively (60-90% overnight).

Requirements:

  • Prospect for new business opportunities while managing existing customer relationships within the assigned territory to drive revenue and client retention.
  • Act as the single point of contact for assigned customers, develop strategic business plans, and consistently achieve sales quotas in compliance with company policies.

Summary of Position

Sales Directors identify new business opportunities as the bulk of their day-to-day while also managing existing customer relationships within a given territory. They understand customer industry and business needs and strategically sell pathology products/services. Focus on driving revenue and client retention by building consultative relationships. Work with clients to establish a strategic account value. Successful Sales Directors follow a results-driven process while finding a balance between customer orientation and territory growth. Executes sales cycle with a high level of service. Overnight travel is approximately 60% (up to 90%).
