Requirements:

Deliver an eight-hour, one-hour-per-session online Dutch course via Zoom for an Elementary-level student
Conduct classes once per week on Tue-Fri afternoons (1-4 pm BC time), starting around August 26th
Tailor lessons to practical conversation and vocabulary needs to help the student converse with her boyfriend's family in the Netherlands
Coordinate flexible scheduling with the client within the 1-4 pm BC time window and maintain clear communication

Job description

Language Trainers is a successful language training company working with freelance teachers of 70 different languages in hundreds of towns and cities across the world. Students are either in-company or self-funded who need to learn a language at their office or their home for work, family or travel reasons. One of our clients would like to have one-to-one online general Dutch classes.

This student wishes to have classes online on Zoom. She would like to have a 8-hour course of 1 hour per lesson. Classes should be held once per week on Tuesday-Friday afternoon between 1-4 pm, British Columbia, Canada time. She wants to start lessons August 26th.

The student's current level of Dutch is Elementary.

Motivation to learn Dutch: Converse and get around The Netherlands on my own. I am going in December for the next time and would like for my vocabulary to have improved a lot to talk with my boyfriend's family easier.

The student is between 25-34 years old.

Ideal teacher should:

Be a native Dutch speaker of the language OR hold a teaching degree
Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
Have a valid working visa
Live up to 20 miles from the client´s location.

Location of the classes and schedule could be flexible based on your and the client’s availability. The hourly rate is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. This is a freelance part-time position and we are not able to sponsor your visa.
