Mechanic

Overview:

JPW Structural Contracting located in Syracuse, NY is currently seeking a Mechanic to join their team! 

 

Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm (Overtime required as needed)

 

Salary Range: $20.00 - $30.00/hour DOE

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance work on equipment
• Maintain service records
• Operate and inspect equipment
• Expected to work in a safe manner
• Other related tasks as identified

• Minimum of 3 years practical experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment including trucks/trailers and machines
• Possess a valid CDL-B license
• Basic computer knowledge a plus.

• Inspection certification a plus

Physical Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random testing during course of employment.
• Possess the coordination, physical strength, and agility to complete required tasks within the allotted time frame.
• Able to quickly and repeatedly bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with body, arms and/or legs without restriction.
• Acceptable visual acuity, either corrected or uncorrected.
• Able to work at heights and in extreme temperatures and moderately inclement weather

• Miscellaneous Steel Design and Fabrication, Load testing (ie. Stairs, Ladders, Lifting fixtures, Spreader beams, Pusher Snow plows, buckets, blade fixtures)
• Plate Weldment Fabrications/ in house bending & rolling capabilities
• Press breaks up to 12’ long with 250 ton capacities
